WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A HOMEOPATHIC CONSULTATION

 

The initial consultation takes approximately 2 hours. 

This amount of time is required in order to find out about your chief complaints in detail as well as other aspects about you such as your likes, dislikes, cravings, aversions, fears, dreams etc.  Even symptoms that may appear unusual or insignificant to you have great relevance for a homeopath. 

 

Since our mental, emotional and physical states together are all a part of us, a homeopath places high value on the mental/emotional state of an individual, instead of solely on the physical symptoms. 

 

A homeopathic prescription is made on an individual basis from the information gathered.  Some conditions may not require such an extensive first consultation, such as a sports injury for example.  However, in order to treat the whole person a full consultation is required.

Follow-up visits are approximately 40-60 minutes in length and occur every 3-6 weeks.  

 

There is no set time when recovery or improvement takes place after taking a remedy because each individual responds in their own way and much depends on the nature and chronicity of the condition.  However, significant improvement can often be seen soon after taking the remedy, especially in acute situations.
